As the Chief Financial Officer at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, you will drive the operations of the Finance Division, ensuring seamless integration of the Accounting and Finance Departments to achieve our operating and reporting objectives. To thrive as Chief Financial Officer at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, you will need a robust set of skills and experience in financial management and analysis. Proficiency in financial forecasting and budget management is essential, as you will be responsible for preparing accurate budgets, analyzing financial reports, and identifying trends. Strong leadership abilities are crucial for guiding the management team within the Finance Division, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability and performance. Your role will require exceptional communication skills to effectively maintain high-quality member service standards and collaborate with internal and external partners.

A deep understanding of regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and asset-liability management is vital to ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations. Additionally, analytical and negotiation skills are key for managing contracts and vendor relationships, while a commitment to innovation will drive the research and implementation of new programs and systems that align with the Credit Union's strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Advanced degrees such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master's in Finance are highly preferred for strategic and leadership roles.
  • Professional Certifications:
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in public accounting
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Proven ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial and statistical reports.
  • Demonstrated expertise in investment strategy and portfolio management.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Commitment to delivering superior member service and serving as a positive role model for staff.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
